We need to typecast, Stanzz because that’s how we humans operate. We put ourselves into nice neat little boxes and in that way we all feel we can have some semblance of control. Being called a geek or nerd is no different than being called a jock or stoner.

If Kirk only cared about Kirk then there’d be no “group chemistry”, no Star Trek. I’ll admit Kirk was a bit Kirk-centric but to say he only cared about himself is a bit extreme.

A computer can be smarter and mimic “smarter” but it can never decide to “suddenly stop for an ice cream” or choose an “A minor key” at the last minute instead of what might be considered a typical key. I.E. it can never be “inspired” and therefore it’s intelligence will remain just that – artificial.

When will werewolves be as big as vampires and zombies, that’s what I want to know. They’re so much cooler. A sort of Sid Vicious of the preternatural world to the David Bowie of the vampires.

I think Blade Runner had the greatest effect on me. It was such a cool concept for a movie, that the future could be so dark and complex and utterly human.

Totally, like When Worlds Collide would be a great movie to remake. How much could it be to do it even as a B movie with the CGI we have today.

When Worlds Collide. Great old time SF movie making from the 50’s. War of the Worlds gets all the press, but this is movie the 2012 crowd should be remaking. Why wait for the Mayans baby!

Isn’t Gattica too recent to remake. The only movie I can think that had a quick turn around were the two Hulk movies and that was because the first one sucked. Gattica didn’t suck. It was a really cool concept well executed with the budget they had.

I cut my hair on Geek Pride Day (May 25). This picture doesn’t show the pony-tail that (used to) reach down to mid-back. I donated the hair to Lock of Love, a very geeky charity. Look them up and if you have enough hair (10 inched I think) then consider donating to a good cause.
